Ferrari SF90 Stradale
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Ferrari and the first Ferrari to surpass the performance of the LaFerrari, with a 4.0 biturbo V8 producing 780 hp working in conjunction with three electric motors adding 220 hp. In total, about 1,000 hp is at your disposal, which is directed to all four wheels depending on the conditions. The SF90 can drive fully electric (for about 25 km) using only the front axle and with a top speed of 135 km/h. The V8 has boxer-like dimensions thanks to the turbos that have been moved to the sides, allowing it to be mounted very low. Additionally, the engine is 25 kilos lighter. Due to the larger turbos in the SF90 Stradale compared to those used in, for example, the F8 Tributo, its sound is quite reminiscent of the F40!
The transmission shifts in just 200 milliseconds up to 8th gear! A reverse gear is absent, as this task is taken over by the electric motors on the front wheels. What's the advantage of that? Ten kilos.
The aerodynamic work is also impressive, accomplished without clearly visible effects from the outside. No giant rear spoiler that pops up like on competitors, no large splitters that ruin the lines of the nose. Everything is neat and well-executed! This makes the SF90 an elegant appearance that still hits 200 km/h in just 6.7 seconds!
