The Ferrari 812 Competizione A represents the ultimate open-top evolution of Ferrari’s front-engined V12 philosophy. Developed alongside the 812 Competizione, the Aperta combines extreme aerodynamic development, extensive weight reduction and a highly focused chassis with Ferrari’s naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12. Producing 830 HP and revving to an extraordinary 9.500 rpm, it delivers the kind of response, sound and character that has defined Ferrari’s most celebrated V12 models for decades.

With production limited to just 599 examples worldwide, every 812 Competizione A is exceptionally rare. This particular example goes considerably further, having been created through Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme with an extraordinarily detailed specification centred around Azzurro Hyperion and specially developed Zaffiro carbon fibre.

The exterior is finished in the elegant ‘Azzurro Hyperion’, a sophisticated historical Ferrari shade that gives the dramatic lines of the Competizione A an entirely different character from the more traditional configurations. All exterior carbon-fibre components are executed in ‘Transmissional Zaffiro Carbon Fibre’, creating a subtle blue appearance that perfectly complements the body colour. This special carbon treatment extends to numerous exterior elements and even the wheel hub caps, which feature three-dimensional chrome Cavallino emblems. Airbrushed Scuderia Shields provide a particularly clean finish to the front wings, while 20-inch forged diamond racing wheels and aluminium brake calipers complete the exterior.

The same level of attention continues throughout the interior. Blu Scuro Alcantara is used extensively, including on the A-pillars and sun visors, while the carbon-fibre racing seats feature a unique Tailor Made design. Narrow rounded vertical piping in BLAB Blu Ultrasuede is combined with Horizon Blu Ultrasuede inserts on the sides of the seats. The Cavallino emblems on the headrests are embroidered in blue thread, with carefully selected tone-on-tone stitching used throughout the cabin.

Different shades and textures of blue continue across virtually every surface. BLAB Blu Ultrasuede is used for details including the lower dashboard, door handles, rear wall and floor mats, while Horizon Ultrasuede surrounds the air vents. The steering wheel is finished in black leather with Blu Scuro Alcantara grips. Even the aluminium interior elements were individually specified, with the door-panel inserts finished in matte Azzurro Hyperion and the dashboard elements in matte Grigio Nart.

One of the most distinctive elements of this configuration is the extensive use of Transmissional Zaffiro Carbon Fibre inside the car. The internal carbon-fibre components and inner section of the roof are executed in this special finish, while the kickplates feature glossy Transmissional Zaffiro Carbon Fibre together with the Tailor Made logo, ‘Specially Crafted in Ferrari’ script in Argento Nürburgring and a Tricolore stripe. The dedication plate receives a similarly elaborate treatment, further emphasizing the truly bespoke nature of this example.

Beyond its Tailor Made specification, the car is exceptionally comprehensively equipped. Highlights include Apple CarPlay, adaptive headlights, front lift, front and rear parking cameras, Passenger Display, High Power Hi-Fi system, heat-insulating windscreen, anti-stone-chipping film and a racing-seat lifter. An extensive carbon-fibre specification includes the hardtop, rear diffuser, front air intakes, underdoor covers and numerous bespoke interior and exterior components.

The 812 Competizione A is already one of the most exclusive modern V12 Ferraris, but this example stands apart through the depth and consistency of its Tailor Made configuration. From the Azzurro Hyperion bodywork and specially developed Zaffiro carbon fibre to the combination of Blu Scuro Alcantara, BLAB Blu Ultrasuede and Horizon Blu Ultrasuede inside, virtually every detail was individually considered. The result is an exceptionally sophisticated interpretation of Ferrari’s limited-production open V12, combining the uncompromising character of the Competizione A with the craftsmanship and individuality of Ferrari Tailor Made.
