In 1987, Ferrari decided to do something special for its 40th anniversary. The result was the F40, a car that instantly captured the hearts of car enthusiasts all over the world. It was Enzo Ferrari’s final masterpiece, a car he personally approved. With its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 478 horsepower, the F40 delivered truly spectacular performance for its time. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h took just 4.1 seconds, and with a top speed of 324 km/h, it was the world’s fastest production car back then.

The F40 was designed with one goal in mind: to be as fast as possible. That’s why you won’t find any luxuries such as air conditioning, power windows, or even a radio. Its carbon fiber and Kevlar body kept the weight down to just 1,100 kg! The iconic design, featuring the signature red color and large rear wing, makes the car instantly recognizable. Between 1987 and 1992, only 1,311 examples were produced, making the F40 a true rarity. Today, it’s considered one of the last “pure” supercars, a car built purely for driving pleasure, without compromise.

For collectors, the F40 has become a holy grail, as reflected in its ever-rising value. It’s an absolute must-have in any serious Ferrari collection.

About our F40:
This F40 comes from its second owner, originally delivered new by Auto Becker in Germany, and has exceptionally low mileage. It still wears its original paint and is accident-free, just as you would expect. In 2025, this Ferrari received its Classiche certification, confirming that it’s a fully matching and authentic example. The last major service was performed in 2025, and the fuel tanks were replaced in 2020. This means the new owner can enjoy the F40 without needing any major investments for the foreseeable future.

The first owner wisely opted for the version without the adjustable suspension (non-adjust), making this F40 significantly lighter than examples equipped with the adjustable system. This contributes to an even purer driving experience, something the F40 is already famous for.
