Ferrari 812 Competizione – Grigio Ferro

The 812 Competizione is the enhanced and refined version of the 812 Superfast. The already incredibly fast and capable 800 horsepower two seat super GT with a front mounted V12. So consider the 830 horsepower 812 Competizione as an 812 Superfaster. It follows a prickly lineage of race inspired V12 Ferraris with front engine and rear wheel drive, including the stunning 599 GTO and the psychotic F12 TDF. Both required significant courage to tame, and the latest evolution is no less intimidating.

Look at it… It is mean, angular and aggressive. A technical and visual street version of the XX program. It looks like a modernized street version of the 599XX race car. And that is because it comes very close indeed!

It uses the same 6.5 litre engine as the 812 Superfast, but internally it is refined and triple distilled for more performance. The pistons have been redesigned, the titanium connecting rods are 40 percent lighter, while a diamond like carbon coating surrounds the piston pins. There is a rebalanced crankshaft, three percent lighter than before, new cylinder heads, F1 camshaft technology, a redesigned intake system including the manifold and plenum, and variable geometry intake ducts.

Then there is the redline, elevated to a divine 9,500 rpm! 38 kilograms lighter than an 812 Superfast and yet the Competizione looks far, far more muscular! Overall, the Competizione generates 30 percent more front downforce than the Superfast and you can see where it was made because vortex generators are everywhere. Truly everything on this 812 Competizione screams downforce to the extreme, and perhaps the most striking feature is the new carbon rear boot without a window. Surprisingly, the camera on the rear lid provides an even better rearward view than a conventional mirror. But why would you even look back in the magnificent 812 Competizione?

This example is presented in a classic and elegant configuration in the historic colour Grigio Ferro with a Nero alcantara interior and finished with grey stitching, perfectly harmonizing interior and exterior! It is clear that this was not the first Ferrari the first owner configured, all carbon options were selected, and the interior and exterior configuration is beyond successful. Even the entire engine bay is finished in carbon! An expensive option, but in our opinion, absolutely worth it.

The above facts, combined with the fact that the 812 Competizione was produced in a limited run of 999 units, guarantee a valuable investment for the future, and at the same time, the Competizione is a stunning addition to any collection.
