Ferrari 599 SA Aperta
Unveiled at the Paris International Motor Show in 2010, Ferrari’s 599 SA Aperta continued the brand’s tradition of creating limited-edition open-top V12 grand tourers, following in the footsteps of the 550 Barchetta and the 575 Superamerica. Only eighty examples were produced, and all eighty cars were sold before the public announcement.
Although the SA Aperta was built using the chassis and powertrain of the 599 GTO, Ferrari intended the SA Aperta to have a more refined character than the GTO, which was designed as a road-legal version of the 599XX. The windshield was given a steeper angle, and two aerodynamic fins were integrated behind the roll bars, reminiscent of the air arches on the standard 599 GTB. Both the suspension and the exhaust system were tuned to be less aggressive than those of the 599 GTO, making the car more comfortable for long-distance touring.
This 599 SA Aperta, presented in a stunning combination of Rosso Corsa over Beige leather, features several desirable options including Scuderia shields, front and rear parking sensors, and Rosso Corsa brake calipers. The interior is finished with extensive carbon fibre details such as a carbon steering wheel with LED shift lights, fully electric carbon bucket seats, and a carbon centre console. The first owner also ordered the optional €50,000 carbon hardtop in addition to the standard canvas soft top, a rare and valuable addition to this Aperta.
This SA Aperta is exceptionally well-documented with original books, two keys, a car cover, the canvas soft top, the carbon hardtop, and Ferrari Red Book Classiche Certification.
The SA Aperta is undoubtedly the most beautiful of the 599 family. Collectors value it for its balance of performance, drivability, and exclusivity.
